New monthly concert series at Sculpterra! It’s called Wine-Down Wednesdays, every 2nd Wednesday 6-8pm, April-September. August 10 features local favorite Bear Market Riot. Special guest Stuart Mason (of Molly’s Revenge, and Little Black Train) will open the show.
Bear Market Riot is Kirk Nordby and Nick Motil, who blend everything from Americana to hip-hop into an infectious sound. Both are writers, singers, and guitarists, adding the wail of blues harmonica and the thump of an suitcase kick drum to keep heads bobbing. Nick is an Ohio native who played all over the country on the college circuit, and did a two year residency at Jimmy Buffett’s restaurant on the Strip of Las Vegas, playing five nights a week. Kirk grew up in the Seattle area, moved to the Central Coast in 2011, met Nick at a Songwriters At Play Paul Simon tribute.
